Alessandro is the Innovation Director at Natura, responsible to address synergies at Aesop, The Body Shop and Natura, the three companies of the group. In this position he reports to the Chief Transformation Officer.

He had been responsible for Global Product Innovation at Natura for 7 years. In this position, he led the development of technologies, ingredients, consumer centric concepts, packaging and product design, fragrances and formulation of every brand in the company's pipeline.

He had also been appointed for an expatriation period of two years in Paris, France, where Alessandro was the R&D Head of the French Technical Center in Paris of Natura focused on the development of partnership and open innovation efforts with European science and technology centers for the development of alternative safety and efficacy tests to animal testing.

Previously, Alessandro was a Marketing Product Manager at Natura Cosméticos, responsible for hair care, sun screen and men's grooming.

Alessandro has also worked as the responsible for the Environmental Impact Model Department at Natura Cosméticos in Brazil, defining models to assess the environmental impact of all its products and setting up a strategy to mitigate their impact.

Prior to joining Natura Cosméticos, Alessandro worked at Beiersdorf in Germany in the R&D department developing formulations (body cream and lotions). He also worked at Procter and Gamble in Venezuela in the R&D department where he was responsible for the OTC health care products adaptation for the Brazilian market.

He holds a Master degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas, Brazil. He has a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from both the Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg, Germany and from the Escola Politécnica, Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. He also attended an Executive Education program on Strategic R&D Management at INSEAD, France and on Emerging Technologies and their impact on businesses at the Singularity University, USA.
