Our research focuses on sustainable chemistry; developing clean ways to make new polymers. Our society is reliant upon polymers and this talk will show how we are creating new approaches to new materials with wide ranging properties.

We have developed unique approaches to polymer synthesis by exploiting supercritical carbon dioxide; an unusual solvent with liquid like and gas like properties.

Additionally, we will describe our development of new polymeric materials from natural wastes that can be described as renewable and may also be degradable.
